WWOOF Weekend Gathering on the Farm in the Schlaubetal, October 31 – November 2
Yay! We’re planting a mixed forest for the Schlaubetal and shaping the forest of tomorrow – together!
Our project for close-to-nature forest transformation at the edge of the Schlaubetal nature reserve has received funding through the small grants program “Action for Sustainable Development – Local Agenda 21”, supported by the lottery concession levy of the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Climate Protection of the State of Brandenburg.
Since 2023, Juliane and Philipp have been managing a 10-hectare forest area in Mixdorf. Their goal: to transform the existing pine monoculture into a climate-resilient mixed forest.
Together with local residents, students from HNE Eberswalde, and WWOOFers, we can now plant 100 deciduous trees thanks to this funding – making a real contribution to climate protection, biodiversity, and soil health.
In addition to tree planting, the gathering is about sharing knowledge and learning together: What makes a healthy forest? Why are monocultures so vulnerable? And what does sustainable forest management look like?
The number of participants is limited to 10 people.
The organizational fee is €30 for WWOOF members and €45 for non-members including accommodation and meals.
Join in, learn with us – and help shape the forest of tomorrow!
