For over 30 years, WWOOF Germany e.V. has been bringing together people who don’t just want to learn about organic farming, but to truly live it. Since 1992, we have been committed as a non-profit organization to environmental awareness, agroecological practice, and solidarity-based communities. Our goal is to create spaces where exchange, mutual support, and shared learning are possible – on organic farms, online, and wherever people want to take responsibility for the Earth and society.
What we do – in concrete terms
Our work is diverse and hands-on:
- Hands-on weekends on organic farms
Across Germany, people come together to carry out projects collectively: building, planting, repairing, and learning. In the process, they gain not only new skills in sustainable construction and agroecological farming, but also form connections between people who might otherwise never have met. - Online webinars and talks
We organize free digital events on current agroecological and social topics. Last year, for example, we hosted talks on right-wing ideologies in agriculture and on GMO-free seeds. - Networking via our online platform
Our platform enables people to arrange individual stays on organic farms throughout Germany. We continuously develop it to make exchange and networking even easier.
Where our projects take place
Our hands-on weekends take place on farms all across Germany, while our webinars and talks are held online – open to everyone, regardless of where they live.
Why we do this
For us, agroecological farming is far more than food production. It is based on care for one another and for the Earth, on cooperation instead of competition, and on self-determination. Especially at a time when climate protection is being called into question and social division is increasing, we want to strengthen and spread these values.
Why we need your support now
First, the good news: the hands-on weekends for 2026 are already fully funded.
What is still missing are the fees for our speakers.
