Workshops are an opportunity to learn new skills and immerse yourself more deeply in an agricultural area.
At WWOOF meetings you experience community! On a weekend you can WWOOF together with other people, you get a special supporting program every time and the great thing – we organize it all for you. All you have to do is come and be there!
At a WWOOF get-together we meet for exchange and networking – come along, get to know other WWOOFers and share your experiences.

WWOOF Meetings
The WWOOF gatherings in 2026 are generously supported financially by the German Postcode Lottery.
Thanks to this funding, the following seven intergenerational weekends across Germany can take place this year. WWOOF Germany e.V. is delighted that the participants of the German Postcode Lottery, through purchasing their tickets, help support the hands-on weekends “Out to the Countryside.”
WWOOF Treffen 25.9. – 27.9.2026 Generationenhof close to Leipzig / Saxony
The Generationenhof near Leipzig is a vibrant community of 27 people, aged 4 to 86, who live and work together on an old four-sided farmstead. In addition to a large garden, vegetable garden, and greenhouse, they also manage an adjacent woodland area with ponds. The community combines communal living with social engagement: as an educational institution, the farm provides children and young people who cannot live with their families a family-like home.
In the garden, there is plenty of experimentation, learning, and collaborative work – from vegetable cultivation and composting to creative projects such as raised beds, Benjes hedges, or insect hotels. The farm is guided by permaculture principles and places great value on intergenerational learning and participation.
You can also take part in this WWOOF weekend, helping out in the garden or with other farm projects, and gain insights into communal living.

WWOOF Weekend Meeting 16.10. – 18.10.2026 at La Pata Caliente – Chili Knowledge and Community
Join us on a very special farm: La Pata Caliente is known for its chili pepper cultivation and its ducks – a weekend full of sensory experiences, hands-on learning, and wonderful fellowship awaits you.
What to expect
A variety of projects are available on the farm:
🌶️ Processing chili peppers – roasting, drying, fermenting, and canning
🌳 Planting new hedges and installing an irrigation system
🥬 Preparing the self-sufficient garden for winter (including green manure)
Getting there
The nearest train stations are Wiesenburg (Mark), about 18 km away, or Zerbst, about 21 km away. A car is available for pick-ups – just contact Nikki if you need a ride.
Accommodation
There are 8 beds available in the house. Camping is possible, and there is also ample parking on the farm. A shared bathroom with a shower and bathtub is available in the house, as well as a composting toilet for everyone.
Surroundings
Zerbst and Wiesenburg are nearby and waiting to be explored, plus plenty of forest and meadows right on the doorstep – perfect for a leisurely stroll.
Evenings on the Farm
Cozy game nights are on the agenda – and anyone who plays an instrument is welcome to bring it along for some live music in the evening!
Education & Exchange
There will be a presentation on the topic of soil moisture.

WWOOF weekend meeting 13.11. – 15.11.2026 Appelbongert close to Dorsten / NRW
The Appelbongert is a more than 100-year-old farm on the Lower Rhine, idyllically located in the Hohe Mark – Westmünsterland Nature Park. Since its founding in 1904, the farm has developed into a nature-oriented place where biodiversity, environmental education, and a mindful approach to nature are central. The farm is home to Skudde sheep, mini pigs, cats, and chickens, while parts of the historic buildings are now used for holiday apartments, herbal workshops, and creative seminars.
The farm is also recognized as a project of the UN Decades for Education for Sustainable Development and Biodiversity. Herbal education, hands-on nature experiences, and the protection of biodiversity—such as on the farm’s own orchard meadow—are particularly important here.
During a WWOOF weekend, participants can get to know the farm, help with small tasks on the grounds, and spend time together in the calm, nature-rich environment—offering plenty of space for encounters and exchange.
